Where I’ve been, and why I stopped writing
2019 was quite a year. I moved in with my boyfriend, we got a cat, I started a new job, I did many interviews so I can land a position to start a CAREER. And didn’t get anywhere with them. Now I’m learning that’s okay.
The only thing I guess I’ve been focused on is the present. Within approximately 6 months of this new laid-back barista job, I got the keyholder position. Which means many closing shifts. Off schedules with my boyfriend whom I moved in with.
I stopped writing because I lost interest. It’s as simple as that. I noticed I was putting pressure on myself to publish something just because I felt I SHOULD be writing something. I found myself getting frustrated, thinking about whether this whole blogging thing is even what I want to be doing. But then over time I asked myself why I’m even putting this pressure on myself to make this into something big, when that was never my intention.
My intention going into blogging is to cover things that I genuinely want to put out there. Still till this day, my biggest most viewed blog post is the review about the Ginger Shampoo & Conditioner because like those people, I was curious if those products actually worked. I discover products where I like what they claim to do, then take the time to really go through their history, vision, how they come about to create the product, what ingredients do what in each product, and so forth. THIS IS WHY I DO IT. Because I believe that if you’re going to back up a brand and their products, you should do the research. Really know what their company is about, their values, why their product was created to begin with, etc. Simply put, if you’re going to promote something, have respect and spend time researching what you got! You shouldn’t be going into a job interview not knowing what they are about, so what makes you think you should do the same if you’re working alongside someone. (Self reminder to always do research even when applying for jobs!)
And for those reasons, is why I do this. I love blogging. I will be working on my own schedule. If brands want to collaborate, I am open to it. But I am not putting pressure on myself to “make it” in this business. And I will not compare what I love doing, to how someone else does their own job.
What I want for 2020

SELF CARE. More “me time” to do the things that give me peace of mind. Continue skincare routines.
SELF GROWTH. Mentally work on the anxiety because it’s a never ending battle. Know what’s good for me, who’s good for me.
FINANCIAL STABILITY + GROWTH. Enough said. I’m turning 27 this year, and I’m not about it. I still feel 21. But life goes on, and I need to get my shit together.
HEALTHY MIND, HEALTHY BODY. Basically, be health conscious, and continue regular physical exercise.
DEEPENING OF (all) RELATIONSHIPS. Most of my relationships have deepened, for the good, the bad, and what’s supposed to happen. Whatever happens, happens. It is what it is. We can only grow and learn from all relationships, right?
WORK HARD, PLAY HARD. Want results? You gotta work for it. Want to go out? Shop? Attend concerts? You gotta work hard to earn that cash.
GET THE DAMN PASSPORT DONE AND TRAVEL. Enough said.
GOOD VIBES ONLY. If it doesn’t make me happy or I’m not interested, something else will be.
GO OUT. I spent most of 2019 slowing down and not taking the time to do things, even go to a restaurant or cafe.
Finally, be able to SPOIL myself. Treat myself to some things once in awhile. You deserve it.

ASTROLOGY PREDICTIONS
(because who isn’t really curious about a yearly horoscope)
Gemini Horoscope
Starting from this year, the Geminis will push themselves to be more exigent and careful when choosing the people they surround themselves in the future. This year, they will meet a lot of new people, and classify them after their potential, so some of them might not remain in their lives.
By the end of the year, you will begin new work or new career projects and you will feel good about the work you do. You may have had conflicts last year with work authority figures, but that will ease by the end of 2020 into long term collaborations.

Honestly there’s a lot of horoscope sites and predictions out there. There’s even a month to month horoscope for each zodiac sign.
I hope this was insightful for you. I hope this helps you think about what you want for this year and the years to come, that this helps you align your thoughts, attitude and goals together.
