Happy July! Hope y’all are enjoying the summer season so far! I have been using this trio for months consecutively and it is safe to say that I am in love. And I’m sure the planet is loving me back too. After months of using, my hair is healthy again. Let’s begin with a BEFORE AND AFTER using this trio. As you can see pictured below on the left, this was my extremely dry, unhealthy hair. It was constantly frizzy, dry and tangled. And after a few uses of this trio, pictured on the right, my hair instantly became healthy and nourished.

 

The goodness of these products have helped to revive my hair again after the years of bleaching and I am so glad Love Beauty and Planet created such amazing products that intrigued me to buy them off the shelf not knowing what I was getting myself into.

 

 

The bottles were intriguing enough, let alone knowing they are cruelty free. That’s honestly the only reason I bought them at first. Let’s just dive right in!

However, not all ingredients are, so they are committed to having all ingredients in their products be natural and from a certified sustainable source by 2020.

REDUCING WASTE

Their bottles are their pride and joy. The bottles are made from 100% recycled plastic. However, while the bottle itself is made with 100% recycled content, the caps and pumps are not. Which is why they are committed to moving all caps and pumps to use at least 50% recycled plastic by 2020, and improve as they go ahead.

SAVING WATER

With their brilliant scientists, their goal is to make rich, high-quality conditioners with fast-rinse technology. This patent revolutionary technology is proven to give lightweight conditioning without weighing down your hair. This technology helps to break down the conditioner faster when it comes in contact with water, allowing you to save water. They have cracked the technology with their conditioners, however, their goal is to have their shampoos 100% fast-rinse too by 2020.

COUNTING OUR FOOTPRINTS WITH HONESTY

We’ll always be transparent and open about our carbon footprint and as part of that commitment we will not only disclose our annual carbon emissions through the production and distribution of our products–and the calculations we take to get there–but also self-impose a “tax” on the carbon we create while making our products. Our goal is to reduce our carbon footprint by 20% before 2020.

We contribute $40 per carbon ton to a Carbon Tax Fund which then supports programs that help to reduce carbon emissions and landfill waste. We are working on partnerships that help use our fund to encourage higher recycling rates. While we encourage you to partner with us to give a little more love to the planet by doing your small acts, we are also determined to reduce the carbon emissions through consumer use through our commitment to new technologies and formats.

FIRST IMPRESSIONS

I absolutely love this shampoo! It smells absolutely divine. This lathers very well. I have very long, thick hair, so I don’t have to use nearly as much as I do with other shampoo brands. I hate using shampoos where I have to use a lot of product and still my hair does not feel cleansed. I use half the amount of what I’m used (and that’s a lot) and my hair feels so cleansed! Best paired with the conditioner afterwards. It’s great to use on it’s own if that’s what you’re into, but I love conditioners so the combo is a must try.

First Impressions

I look forward to using this conditioner. A low-flow shower head uses about two gallons of water a minute, or 20 gallons for a 10-minute shower. That is a LOT of water we are using. Knowing facts like these, Love Beauty and Planet took the time and resources to create a conditioner (and soon shampoo) that has a fast-rinse technology just so we can save water. With the touch of water, the conditioner automatically rinses out fast. And I love it. I get to give my hair all the good benefits of the coconut oil based conditioner, and not waste water. The conditioner hydrates my dry hair without adding any extra weight or grease. 100% would recommend. Even if you just try the conditioner alone, you’ll fall in love too.

 

 

COCONUT OIL & YLANG YLANG 3-IN-1 BENEFIT OIL

This treatment is infused with virgin coconut oil, and nourishes the hair to repair and prevent split ends for smooth and healthy looking tresses. This hair oil is cruelty free, paraben free, silicone free, dye free and formulated without phthalates.

This can be used as a pre-wash treatment, which is recommended by Love Beauty and Planet to be used once a week as a pre-wash treatment, or after as a finishing aid for smoothness and alignment of hair.

 

 

This coconut oil treatment is specially formulated to revitalize and nourish your hair. Our formula is infused with coconut oil that comes from the finest coconut trees in the Philippines where the farmers refer to them as “The Tree of Life” because of its many uses in health & beauty and also as the perfect summertime refresher. How to Use

• Using your fingers, divide your hair into sections.

• Apply a coating of Hope and Repair Oil throughout each section to reach every layer of your hair.

• Wash out in the shower and follow with Hope and Repair Shampoo and Conditioner.

• This oil can also be used as a post wash aid for alignment and smoothness of hair. Take 2-4 drops in your palm and spread through the lengths gently.

First Impressions

I have been using this oil as a post wash aid. And it helps to tame my hair. It provides that extra moisture to my locks. The coconut oil helps to moisturize, detangle and protect my hair. I notice a huge difference when I don’t use this oil as a post wash aid. When I don’t use it, my hair gets tangled much faster, and with my long, thick hair, it tangles and frizzes very easy. This can be used as a post wash treatment whether you use conditioner or not. There is a pump which is highly effective and makes it mess free. I remember the first use I was thoroughly impressed.

Note: on the packaging it says to use in wet hair. Follow this instruction because I used it when my hair was dry and it did not do justice. It cannot he used when dry because my hair got super tangly, felt greasy, and just overall like it needed to be washed. So, fair warning 😂
