APRIL SHOWERS BRING MAY FLOWERS! Happy April Everybody!

Back at it this month with another product review for y’all! A few weeks back I actually won a giveaway from The Face Shop and they sent over a set of products! Two of them are pictured above. It came with a third product but was just a tiny little sample size of the big moisturizer product you see in the photo.

ABOUT THE THERAPY

It’s an anti-aging skincare line embodying a two-century old European natural blending method from Le Marche, Italy. It uses oat seeds, marigold, bay leaf and olive extracts to keep the skin looking youthful.

THE THERAPY First Serum

The First Serum is the serum which contains a blend of French Sea Water and natural essential oils that shimmer like crystal particles. It provides intense hydration, gentle exfoliation as well as anti-aging and boosting effects.

This serum is formulated with:

• Sandalwood: a medicinal plant with anti-aging and rejuvenation properties
• Avocado: creates a moisture barrier on the skin and prevents moisture loss for extremely dry, chapped skin
• Palmarosa: delivers vitality and elasticity and treats damaged skin
• Sea Water: promotes skin hydration and makes the skin more moisturized and healthy

After cleansing, pump once or twice and apply to face, massaging into skin from the center of the face outwards. For extra benefits, use with The Therapy Green Tea Cotton Pads. After cleansing your face, moisten a The Therapy Green Tea Cotton Pad with serum. Using the side coated with green tea powder, gently sweep over face from the center outward.

My Thoughts:

The Therapy First Serum is not like any other serum’s I’ve tried. Most serum’s I’ve tried are thick in texture or slightly runny. However, this one seems more like a toner rather than a serum. It basically like water texture. It does provide very good hydration for a product that is very thin and water-like. However, after using it over time the only difference I noticed was slight hydration. My face maintains it’s moisture on a regular basis to begin with, so this product does not impact me in a big way.

Recommended for people with extremely dry skin. Because of the water-like consistency it is good for people who do not like thick textures. It’s a good step to add into your skincare regime if you don’t use any serums and can’t commit to thick textures.

THE THERAPY Moisture Blending Formula Cream

The Moisture Blending Formula Cream is an anti-aging, anti-drying and ultra nourishing moisturizer. This luxurious anti-aging, intense moisturizing cream contains a blend of French Sea Water and natural essential oils. It has TWO layers. Yes you read that right, TWO LAYERS. The first top layer is formulated with a lightweight essential oil, and the bottom layer with intense moisturizing cream. The hand-blended ingredients are combined to create a luxurious cream meant to leave the skin feeling soft and will gently melt into your skin for intense hydration.

This serum is formulated with:

• Sandalwood: a medicinal plant with anti-aging and rejuvenation properties
• Avocado: creates a moisture barrier on the skin and prevents moisture loss for extremely dry, chapped skin
• Palmarosa: delivers vitality and elasticity and treats damaged skin
• Sea Water: promotes skin hydration and makes the skin more moisturized and healthy

Apply the product onto your cheeks, chin and forehead in the morning and at night after using a serum. Use outward strokes to apply the product all over your face. Cover your face with both palms to help the product absorb.

[Mix the two layers just once before you use the cream for the first time.]

Using the spatula provided, combine the two layers for 10 seconds using a circular motion. Blending the cream by hand instead of using a mechanical process results in a coarse mixture with a unique soft texture that intensely moisturizes and adds glow to skin.

My Thoughts:

Upon first opening this product, I didn’t do any research beforehand. So, I was shocked to see that there were two layers. Never seen anything like it. So props to this skincare line! This is a very lightweight product and is very hydrating. My skin feels so refreshed and so hydrated after using this product. Every single time. I’ve been using this product for about a month now, and I’ve had no problems with this. (That’s a good thing for me!) I’m thoroughly impressed with this product. I think because of the two layers, it provides that extra moisture my skin needs at the end of the day.

Highly recommend for people who need moisture and do not like thick products. Would go hand-in-hand perfectly with the serum.
